Workshops

I offer a range of workshops to fit all skills and styles!
With a Visual Arts teaching background, I have facilitated workshops as part of Swell Sculpture Festival, BLEACH* Festival,
at HOTA Kids Take Over Events, Level Up Youth Arts Program, Libraries, and at Primary and Secondary Schools.

There are a range of offerings that focus around the manipulation of yarn, including:
Finger-Knitting
Circular Weaving
Yarn & Paper Play

Get in touch about collaborative artist workshops facilitated by
Melissa Spratt (finger-knitting) and Tal Fitzpatrick (cross-stitching).

If you are interested in hosting a workshop at your studio, shop, or have a large area in
your home for a Birthday, Hens, Art Activation.

Typically the more involved workshops will run over a few days.
Otherwise the shorter activities are 45 - 90mins.

Finger-Knitting

Workshop participants learn how to finger-knit.
Best suited to groupd sized between 10 - 20 people, age 5+ with parental help.

Circular Weaving

Large Weaving on Copper

Between 80 - 100cm diameter

Make a weaving as pictured to adorn your wall or give as a gift. Learn new weaving skills and how to pair colour combinations that suit your style.

Group of 6: Enquire Now - you must have 6 people in your group to run this workshop.

Group of 4: Enquire Now - you must have 4 people in your group to run this workshop.

For this Large size weaving 12-15hrs:
1 evening each week for 3hrs over, 4 weeks.

Medium Weaving on Copper

Between 30 - 50cm diameter

Make a weaving as pictured to adorn your wall or give as a gift. Learn new weaving skills and how to pair colour combinations that suit your style.

Group of 12 (maximum): Enquire Now - you must have 12 people in your group to run this workshop. Please note the group of 12 is only available in the medium size weaving.

For the Medium size weaving (which is only offered to a group of 12ppl) 6-8hrs: Over two days, for weekend events. E.g, Hens parties, baby showers, birthdays etc.

Single Day Circular Weaving Workshops

25cm Diameter

This workshop is for beginners and will allow you to have a taste of the circular weaving process and take home a finished piece, as pictured. This workshop is for all ages (8yrs +) and runs for 2hrs.

This workshop needs a minimum of 4 people to run: Enquire Now
